International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor Project

On February 2017, Expediting & Inspection Management has been awarded to participate in the ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) Project.

The project consists in the construction of the world's largest tokamak, a magnetic confinement plasma fusion device that has been designed to prove the feasibility of fusion as a large-scale and carbon-free source of energy, to be located in South of France, near Saint-Paul-lès-Durance.

The nuclear plant is intended to produce 500 MW of fusion power, and the Italian consortium between Ansaldo Nucleare, Walter Tosto and Mangiarotti is in charge of the manufacturing of 7 (out of 10) sections of the Vacuum Vessel.

Expediting & Inspection Management will be significantly involved in project planning, expediting, coordination and project management.
